New to Milwaukee, Francesco and Rebecca Carra work together in their home studio creating wheelthrown, functional pottery. With over 8 years of production pottery experience in Italy, Francesco does the bulk of the throwing work while Rebecca assists with glazing large batch orders and utilizes her 13 years as a professional photographer to share the work online. Each design choice they make - from the size of a handle to the bottom of a bowl - is informed by creating beautiful moments within our everyday necessities and encouraging us all to slow down from our typical frenetic pace. Their pieces are crafted with intention and best enjoyed over long, slow meals as they work to bring a small piece of “la dolce vita” to the States.
