Natasha Sorin was born in Ukraine and learned how to make art since she was a child, practicing sewing and knitting, painting and drawing was part of her daily routine. Years later Natasha rediscovered her love for wood-burning and since then she is in constant search for interesting types of wood, intricate designs, and meaningful subject matter.

After moving to USA in 1998, Natasha attended the School of Arts and Design UW-Milwaukee and received a bachelor’s degree in art education. Currently she teaches visual arts in one of the Milwaukee public schools. Natasha’s wood burnings are about fleeting moments in our life. Either it is children playing peacefully on a sunny day, or a butterfly landing on a skinny branch, Natasha’s desire is to capture the moment so her viewers may appreciate and cherish it.
