Jennifer crafts hand-pressed limited edition art tiles and slab-built ceramic boxes using stoneware clay. Her original designs are inspired from the beauty of stained glass, the wonders of nature, the timeless allure of the arts & crafts movement era, and the graceful, organic lines that flow through art nouveau. With great care, she handpaints each piece incorporating both matte and glossy midfire glazes to achieve a stained glass effect. She layers glazes within her intricate designs to create depth, richness, and unique characteristics.
Her tiles are limited to an edition of 250. To ensure the authenticity of each piece, she creates a mold from the original tile, a mold that is carefully destroyed once the edition is complete.
The line work for One-of-a-kind tile designs are hand applied. There is no mold for these designs and they are marked with a star stamp on their back to indicate their uniqueness.
